Who? Doctor Who? David Tennant took the piss out of his confusing name-making character on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and it certainly got us into a muddle.

Before his appearance on Colbert’s show, the host could not resist a wordplay joke about the Doctor.
It touched upon the BBC show, The Who and ended on Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Tennant quipping: “No s**t Sherlock!”

On the show, Tennant discussed Shakespeare’s impact today and joked about Prince Charles’ recent appearance on Shakespeare Live!

The actor is appearing as Richard II at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.
Meanwhile, Tennant recently got back into the Doctor Who spirit by dressing up as Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor at a convention in New York.
