The Thirteenth Doctor lands on audio and more! Doctor Who releases from BBC Audio for November

November sees the release of a range of brand new Doctor Who audiobooks from BBC Audio.

With the Thirteenth Doctor now in full swing on TV, BBC Audio are publishing audiobook recordings of three original novels based on the new series. The Good Doctor, read by Clare Corbett, was published in October, and now both Molten Heart and Combat Magicks are released in tandem with their hardback and ebook editions in November. Mandip Gill (who plays Yaz in the TV show) will be making her reading audiobook debut for Combat Magicks.

Plus, Peter Davison returns to the fold with his reading of The Caves of Androzani. It’s been several years since Peter’s previous Target Book readings (Castrovalva and Earthshock). His dramatic and gritty reading of the Fifth Doctor’s swansong, combined with Simon Power’s stirring sound design, does full justice to Terrance Dicks’s novelisation of one of Robert Holmes’s most popular TV adventures.

Peter Davison reads this exciting novelisation of the explosive final adventure for the Fifth Doctor.

From the moment they land on the planet Androzani Minor, everything goes wrong for the Doctor and his new young companion, Peri.

They become involved in the struggle between brutal gun-runners, ruthless Federation troops, and the hideously mutilated Sharaz Jek, who lurks in the depths of the caves with his android army.

Key to the struggle is spectrox, the most valuable substance in the universe. Suitably processed, spectrox is an elixir of life, but in its raw state it is a deadly poison – a fact which will cost the Doctor another of his Time Lord lives…
