The company, which describes itself as being a world leader in snow and winter effects, had one of its vans on the set of filming at Kings Weston House.

The front of the grade I listed house, in Kings Weston Lane in Kingsweston, had been covered in fake snow.

It is the first time the wedding and conference venue has been used for the BBC TV series, and fans are expected to start gathering at the site.

There has been huge excitement over the new series, with Peter Capaldi getting a new assistant in Pearl Mackie, who trained at the Bristol Old Vic.

The new series is expected to be on television screens by spring next year, and will be the swansong for show chief Steven Moffat.
