Mark Gatiss heading to Gloucester history festival

Arguably one of the public’s most popular actors is visiting the city for a talk at the Gloucester History Festival.

Mark Gatiss, who plays Sherlock’s genius brother and spy Mycroft Holmes and helped create the hit series, is to be interviewed by historian Dr Janina Ramirez at Blackfriars Priory.

The celebrated actor, comedian, screenwriter and novelist has appeared and written for numerous shows and movies including Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Doctor Who, Dad’s Army, Wolf Hall and Game of Thrones.

He was one of the team behind black comedy hit The League of Gentlemen which he starred in and wrote for.

He will be in Gloucester on Sunday, September 11 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm for the Gloucester History Festival.
