Georgia Tennant is reprising her Doctor Who role as Jenny in new audio plays
Georgia Tennant is reprising her Doctor Who role in the next set of audio plays from Big Finish.
Georgia will return in Jenny: The Doctor’s Daughter, marking the first time we’ve seen her since her revival after a fatal shooting in series four episode ‘The Doctor’s Daughter’, which climaxed with her setting off to explore the cosmos.
“I’m so thrilled to be joining forces with Big Finish to bring Jenny back. As we head into the 21st century, FINALLY a female Time Lord in charge of her own spaceship… oh wait,” she joked.
Jenny is the clone daughter of the Doctor after he was forced by soldiers working for General Cobb to stick his hand in a progenation machine, using his DNA to create a female soldier.
In her four new adventures, she’ll even have her own companion in the form of Noah, played by Harry Potter‘s Sean Biggerstaff.
“Having worked with Georgia before at Big Finish. I was very keen to make this series happen – and how brilliant to be able to bring Jenny into her own audio adventure series. I’m very proud of the female role models we have in our catalogue,” said producer David Richardson.
The four new adventures are written by Doctor Who writers Matt Fitton and John Dorney, Poldark‘s Christian Brassington and Adrian Poynton, writer of BBC Three’s White Van Man.
They are available as a box set which you can pre-order now before its release in June 2018.
This month sees the release of three new audio plays that reunite David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor with Billie Piper’s Rose Tyler.
