The Gallifreyan Newsroom today, received an update on the forthcoming one day convention, to be staged by the DWAS, showcasing Doctor Who in the 1980’s.  The updated guest list is as follows, with more announcements to follow.  For more information on this event, please go over to the DWAS site for full details.

COLIN BAKER

Our guest of honour will be sixth Doctor and DWAS Honorary President, Colin Baker. A firm fan favourite, Colin was voted best audio Doctor for his work on the Big Finish range. (Please see: Autograph Policy)

MARK STRICKSON

Making a rare UK convention appearance is Mark Strickson. Known to fans as ‘Turlough’, companion to the 5th Doctor, Mark is now a wildlife film producer and a qualified zoologist.

ANDREW SMITH

Andrew Smith was 19 when he had his script for ‘Full Circle’ accepted by the Doctor Who production office. Recently he has returned to the world of Doctor Who and has written a number of stories for the Big Finish range.

PHILIP MARTIN

Philip Martin’s ‘Vengeance on Varos’ is regarded as one of the best quality stories of the Colin Baker era. A year later he penned ‘Mindwarp’ and has also contributed to the Big Finish series as well as writing novels for Target and Virgin.

NIGEL ROBINSON

Nigel Robinson is an author, best known to fans as the editor of the Target/Virgin DW range in the 1980s and 90s and as author of a number of Doctor Who novels, guides and quiz books.
