DOCTOR WHO PRODUCER TWEETS RETURN DATE FOR HIT SHOW – THEN SWIFTLY DELETES IT
Producer deletes tweet after letting slip transmission date.
Doctor Who’s producer has let slip that the next series will start in September in a tweet – and deleted it just seconds after posting it.
Nikki Wilson went on Twitter to say how much she was enjoying the ninth series of the show, starring Peter Capaldi as the Time Lord , and Jenna Coleman as companion Clara.
She tweeted: “Another successful day on the TARDIS! #DoctorWho is even bigger and better this year.”

Fan @TinaThudBump responded: “Yay! Speaking of the return with my pal only yesterday – do you know roughly when it will be back?”
Wilson tweeted in reply: “We’ll be back in September.”
But almost as soon as her answer appeared, it was deleted.
However, the BBC say that “there is no confirmed date for transmission to begin”.
A spokesman said: “We can’t confirm when the series will start until August as things change so much with television schedules.”
The season will begin with a two part story, The Magician’s Apprentice and The Witch Finder, which sees the return of Davros and the Daleks .
Other stories will see the Doctor and Clara encounter a giant underwater creature , the shape-changing Zygons , and vikings .
Last year’s series began transmission on August 23.
