Sonic screwdrivers at the ready, The Doctor may be joining Emmet, Wyldstyle and crew.

A Doctor Who movie might not be arriving anytime soon, but the TARDIS and its owner could soon be materialising on the big screen in a different (and awesome) form.
According to The Lego Movie Sequel director Rob Schrab, Warner Bros are in talks with the BBC to bring The Doctor into the fold alongside Emmet, Wyldstyle and crew.
Scharb revealed the Who news on Community creator Dan Harmon’s Harmontown Podcast (via io9).

Considering The Lego Movie was one big pop culture mash-up – Batman! Ninja Turtles! Han Solo and Chewie! – The Doctor would feel right at home in this world.

Peter Capaldi’s 12th Doctor featured in Lego Dimensions, while an official Lego set is due out on December 1 – just in time for you to re-enact the Christmas special.

The Lego Movie Sequel will arrive on May 18, 2018.
