Event Information
Cardiff is the home of Doctor Who and this is a fantastic opportunity to get even closer to the iconic show.
Victorian London, New New York, Apalapucia: Cardiff and its buildings have doubled for many places in the Doctor Who universe (even Colchester!), and you can visit some of them on this informative and entertaining Official Doctor Who Filming Locations Tour- a walking tour around Cardiff Bay hosted by the Doctor Who Experience.
In the 75 minute official tour, get an insight into nearly every location used to film Doctor Who in Cardiff Bay. The one-and-a-half mile walk will take in Victorian London, Mancini’s Restaurant from Peter Capaldi’s first episode, Series Nine’s American Diner from Hell Bent, the Great Intelligence’s snowy HQ and the iconic Torchwood Hub – now used as a shrine to fallen Torchwood member, Ianto Jones.
The tour will also give an insight into what goes into choosing a Doctor Who filming location and will pass the home of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales who record Doctor Who’s music and soundtracks.
