BBC Worldwide have confirmed details for the forthcoming blu-ray release of the 1996 Doctor Who Television Movie, starring Paul McGann. Unlike the blu-ray release of Spearhead from Space the TV Movie hasn’t been re-scanned from its original film elements to create a high definition version, but is instead presented as a 1080/50i upscaled image. BBC Worldwide have confirmed that the 1996 television movie starring Paul McGann will be released on Blu-ray in September. Further details on the release will be available shortly, but according to Amazon UK’s pre-order entry it will comprise of two discs. The TV Movie celebrated its 20th anniversary in May this year.
