Davros auditions for Britain’s Got Talent
Britain’s Got Talent gets a very famous auditionee on tonight’s show – it’s only Davros off of Doctor Who.
Yes, the inventor of the Daleks takes time out of his busy schedule to try to win a place at the Royal Variety Performance by impressing the judges with his audition (under the name of The Deep Space Deviants).
“My name is Davros,” he informs the judges, with a policeman on stage for what we can only assume are security reasons. “I am the arch-enemy of Doctor Who. And I am here to entertain you.”
And he fills us in a bit on his background, too, saying: “I’m Davros, I am the inventor of the Daleks and I’m from the planet Skaro. At the moment, I’m living in Lancashire, but originally from planet Skaro.”We actually have a sneaking suspicion that it’s not the real Davros, to be honest. Mainly because he says his real name is Paul.
But moving swiftly on from that, we think Davros has a point when he suggests that he’ll be able to buddy up with Simon Cowell easily.
“I think Davros and Simon would get on really well together,” he says. “He has no conscience, no sense of humour, but he is nice to kids and animals.”
Still, Davros fans eager to see whether he does get on Simon’s good side will have to tune in to Britain’s Got Talent tonight at 8pm on ITV.
After all, you’ll be treated to Davros singing ‘Love Shack’ and what, really, could be better than that?
