Doctor Who is to star in adventure set in Bristol (at least the comic strip version is)
The latest adventure of everyone’s favourite Time Lord has been set around one of Bristol’s best loved and best known landmarks.
Bristol based cartoonist Cavan Scott spends his time creating adventures for the likes of Roger the Dodger and Bananaman for the Beano.
The adventures are based around the Christopher Eccleston incarnation of the Doctor. The actor was chosen to play the role when the series was relaunched by the BBC to huge critical and popular acclaim.
And comics featuring the ninth Doctor are one of the most popular among fans of the man behind the TARDIS.
In the latest adventure The Doctor becomes entangled once more with the forces of UNIT when a cache of potentially devastating top secret material is leaked to the media.
Number one bestseller Cavan Scott has written comics, novels, short stories and audio dramas in the worlds of Star Wars, Doctor Who, Vikings, Pathfinder, Judge Dredd, The Afterblight Chronicles, Highlander and many more.
He is currently writing his second Sherlock Holmes novel for Titan Books, Cry of the Innocents. He splits his time between going into schools – he has just become Patron of Reading at Air Balloon primary in St George – and his study at home in Hanham where he lives with wife Clare, and their two daughters Chloe and Connie.
