Series 10 cast announcement! Acting legend David Suchet will play the Landlord in an episode written by Mike Bartlett. We can’t wait, mon ami!

It’s not yet known whether The Landlord will be a friend or an enemy of the Doctor and his his new companion Bill, but judging by the photo, he’s got a few secrets of his own.

Meanwhile, fans on social media are speculating as to whether one of Doctor Who’s most famous monsters will make an appearance in the spin-off show, Class.

Fady Elsayed, who will play one of the pupils in the series centring around the fictional Coal Hill School, which featured in the very first episode of Doctor Who, shared an image of himself with a Weeping Angel on Twitter.

Elsayed accompanied the tweet with the words: “#DoctorWho #ClassDw”.

Class is currently filming in Cardiff, where Doctor Who is shot. Former Coronation Street star Katherine Kelly, lately seen in acclaimed series Happy Valley, has been cast as a teacher in Class.

The eight-part series will be available on BBC Three later this year.
