DOCTOR WHO DALEK GOES UP FOR AUCTION
Got a spare few grand knocking about? Then you could be in luck – and if not you can visit an exhibition of all the TV and movie memorabilia for free…
Are you a Star Trek fan with a spare £70,000 or so burning a hole in your pocket? Then you’re in luck (and not just because you’re incredibly rich). A piece of TV history is up for grabs as Mr Spock’s uniform – as worn by the late, great Leonard Nimoy – goes under the hammer with an estimated value of £50-70K.
Maybe you’re a Superman fan on a tighter budget? Not a problem, Christopher Reeve’s tunic (everything but the tights and cape) is expected to go for just £30K.
Doctor Who aficionados have really got it good – for the modest price of £4-6,000 they can nab themselves a Dalek, complete with a shooting script for An Adventure In Space and Time, the drama about the making of the sci-fi series.
There’s even good news for those of us who have precisely zero thousands of pounds going spare – you can go along and get a look at all the items in the Prop Store auction completely free from 9th September at London BFI IMAX. Now that really is a bargain!
