The next special issue of the Doctor Who Figurine Collection features Aggedor, as it appears in the 1972 adventure The Curse of Peladon.
This special figurine from the classic Third Doctor (as played by Jon Pertwee) era stands a fearsome 120mm high on its plinth.
The planet Peladon is negotiating for entry into the Galactic Federation, with its king hoping to sweep aside generations of superstition and fear. Is High Priest Hepesh right? Does the return of Aggedor serve as a warning to the idealistic King Peladon to abandon the negotiations?
This highly detailed, hand-painted figurine comes complete with a magazine interviewing Katy Manning, who portrayed the Third Doctor’s brave companion Jo Grant, plus Nick Hobbs, the man behind the suit, and a history of the Ice Warriors.
Doctor Who Figurine Collection: Aggedor is available from October 5, 2017 – purchase here.

THE BEHEMOTH
Bath, 1756 – and a very dashing gentleman known only as the Doctor is newly arrived in town, accompanied by his lady friends Mrs Clarke and Mrs Ramon. He’s created a stir among the gentlefolk of Georgian high society – and a stir in the heart of merry widow Mrs Theodosia Middlemint, rumour has it.
They are not the only strangers from abroad causing tongues to wag, however. The mysterious Lady Clara, come from Amsterdam in the company of the noble Captain Van Der Meer, has the whole of Bath agog. Who is she, really? What is she, really?
But there’s something terrible beneath the veneer of Georgian gentility. As awful a horror as the Doctor has ever exposed, hidden inside Balsam’s Brassworks. Something that needs to be brought to light, for the sake of all humanity.
The Behemoth is a 2 CD set starring: Colin Baker (The Sixth Doctor), Miranda Raison (Mrs Constance Clarke), Lisa Greenwood (Flip Jackson), and many more. This title goes on general release from Nov 30, 2017.

THE OUTLIERS
The TARDIS takes the Doctor, Ben, Polly and Jamie to a flooded underground town on an alien world. The streets are empty. The houses are bare. Not a trace of life.
The miners working here are vanishing. And it isn’t long before the time-travellers are suspected of being responsible for the disappearances. But even the authorities haven’t fully realised the scale of the problem.
There’s something else on this world. Something dragging people away. And it won’t stop until it’s taken them all.
The Outliers is a 2 CD set starring: Anneke Wills (Polly Wright/Narrator), Frazer Hines (Jamie McCrimmon/The Doctor), and many more. This title goes on general release from Nov 30, 2017.

There is no doubt that Peter Capaldi’s exit as the Twelfth Doctor in Doctor Who will get heavy for fans this Christmas.
But just in case you had any doubts, companion Pearl Mackie has assured us all that things will be pretty emotional as he regenerates into Jodie Whittaker.
“I’d say have a box of tissues close at hand,” the Bill Potts actress told RadioTimes.com. “As to be expected: it’s Peter’s last episode as the Doctor and my last episode as well.”
The actress became a fan favourite as she made her debut as the Doctor’s latest companion on the last series, and while the Christmas Special looks set to be her last outing, Mackie remained open to the possibility of returning to the franchise one day.
“One of the wonderful things about Doctor Who is that the world of possibilities is endless,” she added, “so I guess, never say never…”
However, despite all these departures in one episode, Mackie ensured us that there are lots of positives in the episode too, especially as it represents a turning point in the series.
“There’s new beginnings – you’ve got new beginnings with [next Doctor] Jodie Whittaker – it’s a great adventure with two Doctors, it’s going to be very exciting, it’s going to be a lovely episode.”
In the special, David Bradley will reprise his portrayal of First Doctor William Hartnell, and Mackie had nothing but praise for the Harry Potter star.
“Yes, I did get to work with him, which was very exciting,” she recalled. “It was amazing working with David, he’s wonderful… He’s such a brilliant actor and a lovely man.
“He’s great in it and very, very like the first Doctor, which is incredible. It’s uncanny.”
Peter Capaldi will make his final appearance as The Doctor in Doctor Who on Christmas Day (December 25) in the episode ‘Twice Upon a Time’. Watch a trailer below:
