DOCTOR’S ORDERS: Lily has turned her room into a shrine to the Time Lord.
Lily Connors, 11, has collected 6,641 items from the show.
The youngster has been hooked on the adventures of the Time Lord since she was three and has turned her bedroom into a shrine to the sci-fi hit.
Lily exterminated the previous Guinness world record set by Ian O’Brien, 57, who hoarded more than 1,573 items of memorabilia.
The young fan, from Swansea, said: “When I broke the record it was awesome. It was the best thing ever.
“I showed all of my friends, and they couldn’t believe it. They were shocked I got a world record. My friends like Doctor Who, but I absolutely love it.”
The fanatic’s collection has cost about £2,000 and includes gifts from family, pals and members of the cast.

Her dad Tom, 54, gave her his old action figures including a white Dalek and a Cyberman.
He also built his daughter a Tardis wardrobe that has been signed by current Doctor, Peter Capaldi, 58, who is set to quit later this year.
Lily added: “My favourite part of my collection is my Tardis wardrobe.
“I have met cast members and have been to watch the show being filmed, too. All I want for Christmas and my birthday is Doctor Who presents.”
STARS: The fan meets Doctor Who actor Peter Capaldi
The family, including Lily’s brother Ryan, five, sister Rhianna, seven, and 30-year-old stepbrother Tom, watch the show.
Her mum Charlotte, 31, said: “We loved the show but for Lily it was life-changing. By the time she was 10 her room had become a shrine.”

DOCTOR WHO SERIES 10: ICE WARRIORS EPISODE DETAILS EMERGE
In the latest edition of Empire magazine — issue 335, out now — Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat and Twelfth Doctor actor Peter Capaldi have been speaking about their final series together.
During the interview, there are a number of juicy nuggets of information regarding Series 10, Episode 9. Written by Mark Gatiss, we already know the Ice Warriors will return (featuring a new kind according to its writer) but now we’ve been given new information regarding the story.
Read on, if you dare!
Spoilers follow…
• Empire describes the episode as a “Jules Verne-ish spectacle”.
• With scenes on Mars, it features a Martian mine, red sand and a “giant futuristic, drill-like weapon of mysterious provenance”.
• There is a conflict between Zulu War-era British soldiers and an awakened horde of Ice Warriors.
• A “pivotal three-way face-off” with the Doctor, British troops and the Ice Warrior turns on a “key intervention” by new companion Bill.
• At one point, an Ice Warrior is referred to as an “upright crocodile”.
Fans of Doctor Who and miniatures games will love these new releases from Warlord Games. Encompassing all of the Doctors, their companions and their foes, these games and miniatures span more than fifty years of classic stories and characters.
The models are high quality pewter castings and plastics, carefully sculpted to be as accurate as possible and officially approved by the BBC.
Warlord Games have also announced details of their forthcoming new game featuring the Daleks and Cybermen — check out all the details of what’s already available and what’s coming up in 2017 below.
Figures range from the Doctor himself to many of his companions and villains, including iconic enemies the Daleks, Cybermen, Zygons and the Silence. Our forthcoming range will also include further Doctor and Companion boxed sets, and classic and new series monsters and villains such as the Ogrons, Sea Devils, Vashta Nerada and Heavenly Hosts. Something to represent every era of the show.
The first Doctor Who tabletop skirmish game, from Warlord Games, will be released in Spring 2017. Exterminate! will feature Daleks taking on Cybermen. Additional releases to expand the game introduce many other foes and allies of the Doctor, each with their own unique characteristics.
The gameplay allows for three different levels of play, ranging from the harsh environment of the ‘Battle’, through the world of the ‘Adventure’ and finally allowing you to take part in an ’Episode’. Each level of play has its own challenges, as dictated by eight scenarios that come with the game.
The initial release consists of everything you need to play, including specially-created, easily-constructed plastic miniatures of two of the Doctor’s iconic foes, the Daleks and the Cybermen. There are ‘snap fit’ miniatures for each of these factions, plus the Cybermen sprue includes six Cybermats that can aid their larger brethren. The three fully illustrated rules booklets we have included are simple to use and include a wealth of information and photographs, alongside full colour Character, Event and Adventure cards.
One boxed game – three ways to play! New monster factions, Companions and additional Doctors will become available over time, so the game can keep growing, as will your collection of finely crafted pewter and plastic heroes and villains.

GALA EVENT: STEVEN MOFFAT IN CONVERSATION WITH FRANK SKINNER
Join Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat in conversation with Frank Skinner (Perkins in Mummy on the Orient Express).
The very first foe faced by the Doctor and new companion Bill in the upcoming series of Doctor Who will be the Time Lord’s most iconic – the deadly Daleks, who coincidentally last appeared in the first episodes of series 9.
While we already knew the pesky pepperpots would play a role in one episode this year it was unclear where exactly they’d crop up, until official BBC screengrabs (including main image) from the latest trailer revealed that it was new companion Pearl Mackie’s debut episode The Pilot that would see their reign of terror begin anew.
This also means that many Doctor Who viewers will already have seen part of the episode, as Mackie’s announcement as companion took the form of a scene where her character Bill and the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) were assailed by Daleks. Programme-makers assured fans at the time that the footage would form part of a series 10 episode, and now we know which one.

Finally, Bill’s confusion about all things sci-fi makes sense.
Other official BBC screengrabs also revealed telling information about the new series, confirming that the so-called “Wet Dalek Lady” (who appears in an apparition form yelling “Exterminate”) appears in The Pilot and is called Heather, played by actress Stephanie Hyam.

Elsewhere, it’s revealed that this giant underwater eye forms part of writer Sarah Dollard’s episode 3, while shots of a spiny spaceship and Bill in a spacesuit are listed as elements of episode 5, written by Jamie Mathieson. Those emojibots will turn up in Frank Cottrell-Boyce’s episode 2, as expected.
Programme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode three Bill (PEARL MACKIE), The Doctor (PETER CAPALDI) – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabsProgramme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode 5 Space station – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabsProgramme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode 5 Bill (PEARL MACKIE) – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabs
The screengrabs go on to place David Suchet’s enigmatic character The Landlord in episode 4 (written by Mike Bartlett), and the even more mysterious monks into a Steven Moffat-penned episode 6.
Programme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode four The Landlord (DAVID SUCHET) – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabsProgramme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode six Monk – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabsProgramme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode six Monks – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grab
And those shots of the Doctor in his sonic shades, with soldiers who may or may not be men of UNIT? Part of Peter Harness’ episode 7, perhaps returning to the themes of the UNIT-centric episodes he wrote for the previous series.
Programme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode seven The Doctor (PETER CAPALDI) – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabsProgramme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode seven The Doctor (PETER CAPALDI), Bill (PEARL MACKIE), Nardole (MATT LUCAS) – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabs
Further on, we get confirmation that the Doctor and Bill’s trip to Mars takes place in the Mark Gatiss-scripted episode 9 (which will see the debut of a new kind of Ice Warrior), while shots of the Doctor and Nardole (Matt Lucas) held at swordpoint are revealed to be the work of classic 1970s Who scribe Rona Munro, who is returning to the series to write the tenth episode of series 10 (called The Eaters of Light).
Programme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode nine Nardole (MATT LUCAS), The Doctor (PETER CAPALDI) – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabsProgramme Name: Doctor Who S10 – TX: 13/03/2017 – Episode: n/a (No. various episodes) – Picture Shows: Screen grab from episode ten Nardole (MATT LUCAS), The Doctor (PETER CAPALDI) – (C) BBC – Photographer: screen grabs
So overall it’s clear that we have a wonderfully varied collection of Doctor Who storytelling ahead of us in series 10, including not one, not two but THREE different episodes involving oxygen suits (for space and underwater). Gotta love some alternate outerwear.
And maybe, just maybe, some fans’ raging desire to see the long-awaited series’ first episode will be quenched by the knowledge that they have in fact already seen part of it, way back in April 2016, and they can watch it whenever they want right now on YouTube.
Koch have just confirmed they will be releasing the second in our THE DOCTORS DVD releases in June! Wonderful news – thanks to everyone who purchased the first – THE JON PERTWEE YEARS! The second, as you can see (!), will be THE PATRICK TROUGHTON YEARS. This will be followed by THE TOM BAKER YEARS. Here’s hoping we can release all the “classic” Doctors!

A spoiler for the ending of The Husbands Of River Song lies ahead
With the tenth series of Doctor Who since its revival kicking off next month, Steven Moffat has this one more full run of the show to polish off, before handing over to Chris Chibnall from series 11 onwards. However, in a new interview with Empire magazine, he’s admitted that he wasn’t entirely sure he’d be overseeing series 10 after all, and that he suspected he might have been leaving the job a little earlier.
“I vaguely thought I’d be going last year”, he told the magazine, referring to the 2015 series of the show. “So the last scene of Christmas that year [he’s talking about The Husbands Of River Song here] with the Doctor finally making it to the Darillium, which we hear about in the episode just before I took over, was as close as I’ll ever get to making any attempt at closure”.
The end of The Husbands Of River Song saw the Doctor and River finally getting to have their long-promised meal, living happily ever after, at least for 24 years.
Moffat, however, did opt to continue, meaning he’s got a whole new sort-of-ending to write, although Chris Chibnall, he’s confirmed, will be writing the dialogue for Peter Capaldi’s replacement.
In the same interview, incidentally, Steven Moffat confirmed again too that once he departs the executive producer role on Doctor Who, he won’t return to write for the show again.
The new issue of Empire magazine goes on sale this Thursday. Its website is here.
Coming up in May is an illustrated ‘secret’ history of the oldest and most powerful civilisation in the universe – the Time Lords of Gallifrey.
We have the details and artwork below.
The Time Lords are an immensely civilised, and immensely powerful, race. Yet we know very little about them, save that they can live forever (barring accidents) and possess the secrets of space and time travel. Their history has been shrouded in myth and mystery. Until now.
A Brief History of Time Lords unlocks the secrets of this ancient, legendary alien race – a civilisation that inflicted some of its most notorious renegades and criminals on the universe, but was also the benevolent power that rid the cosmos of its most fearsome enemies. Drawn from the ancient records of Gallifrey and from legends and stories handed down from generation to generation, this remarkable book reveals the Time Lords in all of their guises: pioneers and power-mad conspirators, time travellers and tyrants, creators and destroyers.
Be careful who you share it with.
Doctor Who: A Brief History of Time Lords is written by Steve Tribe (author of The TARDIS Handbook, Doctor Who: Companions and Allies, and many more titles) and illustrated with original full-colour art by Richard Williams.
