The long-awaited special Doctor Who releases from the novels by TV series-writer Gareth Roberts are now released…

Doctor Who – The Fourth Doctor by Gareth Roberts is out today, a five disc set in a deluxe book packaging. The two stories in the set – Doctor Who – The Romance of Crime, and Doctor Who – The English Way of Death – are also available as single releases from today:

The Romance of Crime

The TARDIS brings the Doctor, Romana and K9 to the Rock of Judgement; a court, prison and place of execution built into a rocket-powered asteroid. When involved in an investigation by the system’s finest lawman, they find they must seek answers to some disturbing questions.

The English Way of Death

The Doctor, Romana and K9 arrive in 1930s London to return some overdue library books. They plan to take a rest after their recent adventures, but Romana detects a distress signal from the future and the Doctor is attacked by a suffocating green mist.

Doctor Who – The Fourth Doctor by Gareth Roberts is available now on CD or Download, along with Doctor Who – The Romance of Crime, and Doctor Who – The English Way of Death. Check the links for more details including trailers.

A second special collection of Doctor Who novel adaptations Doctor Who – The Novel Adaptations Volume 2 is out in May, comprising Gareth Roberts’ Doctor Who – The Well-Mannered War and Russell T Davies’ Doctor Who – Damaged Goods. Other adaptations include Gareth Roberts’ Doctor Who – The Highest Science (a preview of the first episode is available here) and Paul Cornell’s Doctor Who – Love and War.
